Responses to directions, requests, orders, or just plain every day conversations between spouses (past, present, future) dating couples, friends, co-workers, parents, siblings, pastor/deacons are almost full of subliminal messages. We often, if not most of the time, mean well. However, our responses can be misinterpreted, misconstrued, misunderstood, misplaced, misjudged, misread, misheard, miscalculated, misapprehended, mistook, and/or mistaken. Then, we might have a problem.....But God is not the orchestrator of confusion:
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. Then love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these!" Mark 12:29-31
Three easy ways to "accentuate" God into our life......
1. Love with all your heart and soul. Your heart belongs to God and if He has your heart, He certainly must have your soul. That means you have to learn how to give and how to receive. Don't rob someone who wants to give to you of the joy they will receive from giving.
2. Love with all your mind or, as the teacher pointed out in his response to Jesus in v. 33, all your understanding. That can only be done by interacting with others. GIVING AND RECEIVING
3. Love with all your strength. Pour your life into others by giving all your God given talents and gifts to those around you and by letting them do the same to you.
Remember who is in control. This is the same God that made and continues to make the waves of the sea roll in on shore 26 times to the minute in all kinds of weather. Thus, the Lord, in His wonderful grace, can arrange the life that is entrusted to His care in such a way that it will carry out His purposes and plans, and it will be fragrant WITH His presence. And it doesn't matter if your widowed, single, married, divorced, abandoned, employed, unemployed, retired, rejected by the world, short, tall, skinny, un-skinny, bald, short hair, long hair, pretty, not so pretty, young, middle age, or just more mature than others; God can and will use you.
Only the God-planned life is successful and honoring to His Kingdom.
Only the life given over to the care of the Lord is fulfilled!
